Step-by-Step Guide to Using Your EA Bot

Step 1: Download the EA Bot File

  1. Download the EA bot file ( .ex4 format) from the provider’s website.
  2. Save the file in a known location on your computer.
  3. Save the License Key as well

Step 1: Download and Install MetaTrader 4 (MT4)

  1. Visit the official MetaTrader 4 website.
  2. Download the MT4 trading platform and install it on your computer.
  3. Open MT4 and log in with your broker account credentials.

Step 3: Place the EA Bot in the MT4 Directory

  1. Open MT4.
  2. Go to File > Open Data Folder.
  3. Navigate to MQL4 > Experts.
  4. Copy and paste the EA bot file into the Experts folder.

Step 4: Restart MetaTrader 4

  1. Close and reopen MT4 to refresh the platform.
  2. Your EA bot should now appear in the Navigator window under Expert Advisors.

Step 5: Configure EA Bot Settings

  1. Adjust the settings according to your trading strategy.
  2. Enable live trading by checking the Allow live trading box.
  3. Click OK to apply the settings.

Step 6: Attach the EA Bot to a Chart

  1. Open a new chart or use an existing one for the currency pair you want to trade.
  2. Drag and drop the EA bot from the Navigator window onto the chart.
  3. A settings window will pop up where you can configure the EA bot parameters.

Step 7: Enable AutoTrading

  1. Ensure the AutoTrading button on the top toolbar is green. If it’s red, click it to turn it green.
  2. The EA bot will now start trading based on the configured settings.

Step 8: Monitor and Manage Trades

  1. Monitor the EA bot’s performance through the Terminal window at the bottom of MT4.
  2. You can manually close trades or adjust settings if necessary.

Step 9: Regularly Update and Maintain Your EA Bot

  1. Check for updates from your EA bot provider.
  2. All Ways check that the Bot License Key is valid and Extended before it expires.

Additional Steps for Using a VPS

Step 10: Choose a VPS Provider

  1. Select a reliable VPS provider that offers good uptime and performance suitable for forex trading.
  2. Sign up for a VPS plan that meets your needs.

Step 11: Set Up VPS Access

  1. After signing up, you will receive VPS login details (IP address, username, and password).
  2. Use Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) on your computer to connect to the VPS.
  3. Enter the IP address, username, and password to access the VPS desktop.

Step 12: Install MetaTrader 4 on VPS

  1. Download MT4 on your VPS as you would on your local computer.
  2. Install MT4 and log in with your broker account credentials.

Step 13: Transfer EA Bot to VPS

  1. Use RDC to access your VPS.
  2. Transfer the EA bot file from your local computer to the VPS (you can use email, cloud storage, or direct file transfer).
  3. Place the EA bot file in the MQL4 > Experts folder of MT4 on your VPS.

Step 14: Configure and Activate EA Bot on VPS

  1. Follow the same steps as mentioned above to attach the EA bot to a chart, configure settings, and enable AutoTrading on MT4 running on your VPS.
  2. Ensure that your VPS is set to run continuously without interruptions.

Step 15: Monitor and Manage Your Trades Remotely

  1. You can monitor and manage your trades remotely by connecting to your VPS via RDC from any device with internet access.
  2. Ensure that your VPS provider offers reliable support in case of any technical issues.
